In the chapter 14 of his "Lhasa: the Holy City" Spencer-Chapman writes that "(...) Finch, the only other European in Tibet (except for the mysterious Kaulback and Tracey [sic], somewhere down in the south-east - if they were still alive, which seemed doubtful), should come up to Lhasa to spend Christmas with us."
